Berry syrup, intense red fruits, baking spices and brown sugar are the dominant flavors of this coffee from the lush Yacuanquer growing region in Nariño, Colombia. A handful of small producers in Yacuanquer have blended their harvests together to create this rich, well-structured cup.
We love to offer these "micro-blends" because the combining of neighboring plots can often-times create a more dynamic, complex cup. These blends can sometimes score an entire point higher than a single producer lot from the same area.
The Yacuanquer has beautiful clove and chocolate notes on the dry aroma, leading into a ripe red berry and brown sugar sweetness in the cup. This is a juicy, syrupy coffee that is excellent as both espresso and drip.
